Final practice project: A résumé and LinkedIn makeover for Tasha Reed
A practice assignment from a sample client. You will see the scoring guide (rubric) before you start.
| What we check | What earns the full 4 points |
|---|---|
| Brief followed | PM target, Tampa/remote, all five deliverables, both file formats |
| Honesty | Every claim traces to her facts; estimates labeled; gaps advised, never papered over; official titles unchanged |
| Résumé craft | Outcome bullets with numbers in verb-what-scale-result form, relevance ordering, two pages, ATS-safe, target obvious in six seconds |
| LinkedIn craft | Searchable headline, About opens with target and number, skills mirror the map, banner intentional |
| Delivery | Guide usable without you, tailoring example works against a real posting, follow-up scheduled |
Honest expectations. A résumé cannot invent experience and should never try; recruiters verify. The craft is interviewing the client for outcomes they forgot they had, matching the language of real job descriptions, and cutting everything that does not serve the target role. Fancy templates with columns and icons break screening software; plain wins.
